Valentine's Day Dynamic Billboard Use Cases¶
Valentine's Day is one of the strongest seasonal opportunities for digital billboards. With Lucit, operators and advertisers can quickly launch live countdowns, gift reminders, and community engagement campaigns that update automatically and feel timely every time they play.
This page outlines practical ideas you can execute in minutes using Lucit's Template Designer, data-driven creative, and content management features.
For a broader overview of how different sectors use Lucit, see Use Cases by Industry.
1. Live Valentine's Day Countdown Campaigns¶
Use Lucit's Template Designer to build live countdown creatives that update in real time as Valentine's Day approaches.
What it looks like¶
Example messages:
Valentine's Day Ends In… 3 Days3 Days Left to Surprise HerLast Chance for Valentine’s GiftsDon’t Forget Valentine’s DayBecause She Deserves Something Special
The countdown automatically updates the days / hours remaining without the operator or advertiser needing to upload new files.
Why countdown ads work well¶
- Create urgency without daily creative swaps
- Automatically update as the date approaches
- Drive impulse decisions ("I should grab something today")
- Make even simple offers feel premium and time-sensitive
Recommended verticals for countdowns¶
Pair countdown templates with:
- 💍 Jewelry stores – engagement rings, necklaces, watches, custom pieces (Jewelry use cases)
- 🛍️ Retail & boutiques – curated gift collections, his & hers bundles (Retail use cases)
- 💆 Spas & salons – massage packages, couples’ experiences, self-care gifts (Spa & Salon use cases)
- 🍫 Chocolatiers & specialty gifts – local chocolate shops, custom gift boxes (often covered under Retail)
- 🌹 Florists & gift shops – pre-order deadlines, delivery windows, bouquet specials (Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) patterns can be adapted for pickup and rush ordering)
- 🎟️ Experiences over things – dining reservations, getaways, shows, local events (Entertainment & Sports and Hospitality & Tourism)
Use a single countdown template and reuse it across multiple advertisers and screen sizes by swapping logo, colors, and copy via Lucit.
2. Community Engagement: "Share the Love" Photo Campaign¶
Create a Community Engagement account dedicated to Valentine's Day where the public can submit photos and short messages for loved ones.
Concept¶
- Run a campaign like "Share the Love on Our Billboards"
- Invite the community to submit photos and messages ("Happy Valentine’s Day, Alex! Love, Jordan")
- Use Lucit to manage and approve content, then automatically rotate it across selected screens
How to run it with Lucit¶
- Create a dedicated community engagement Lucit account (e.g.,
Community Engagement – Valentine’s Day). - In the Account Settings, under Community Engagment, enable community engagement and fill out the public account settings
- Build a Lucit template with:

- Space for the photo
- Space for a short message ("To / From" or custom text)
- Optional sponsor / operator logo
- Add the template to your community engagement account
- Get the Link or QR for your community engagement account Account Settings -> Public Link
Benefits for operators¶
- Drives high community visibility and goodwill
- Gives local advertisers and sponsors a way to participate ("Presented by…")
- Generates social content when people share photos of their message on a billboard
- Creates a format you can reuse for other events (Mother’s Day, graduations, anniversaries)
3. Last-Minute Shopper Messaging¶
Use dynamic creative to help advertisers capture last-minute shoppers as Valentine’s Day approaches.
Messaging ideas¶
- "Still Need a Valentine’s Gift? We’ve Got You."
- "Open Late for Last-Minute Valentine’s Gifts."
- "Same-Day Pickup – Valentine’s Day Ready."
- "Walk-In Couples Massages Available Today."
Dynamic elements you can use¶

- Time-of-day rules – highlight "Open Late Tonight" after 5 PM
- Location-aware messages – "Just 2 Minutes Ahead on Main Street"
4. Multi-Advertiser Valentine’s Template Packs¶
Build a small pack of reusable Valentine’s templates that operators and account executives can quickly spin up for multiple advertisers.
