Worked example¶
Scenario: A Media Owner runs a campaign that delivers 300,000 plays in a 28-day cycle.
- Base plan: $500 (covers the first 200,000 plays)
- Overage: 100,000 plays × $0.50 / 1,000 = $50
- Total: $550 for 300,000 plays
Slot-cost framing¶
A "slot" represents the capacity of roughly one billboard slot. As volume grows, your effective cost per slot drops:
| Slots running | Approx. effective cost / slot |
|---|---|
| 1–5 slots | ~$100 / slot |
| 6+ slots | ~$19 / slot |
This is illustrative — your actual cost depends on plays delivered.
Programmatic pricing¶
Programmatic campaigns are billed per impression through the SSP, plus (in some cases) a Lucit dynamic-creative fee.
| SSP / Integration | Lucit fee | How it's billed |
|---|---|---|
| Place Exchange | None (built-in) | The Lucit dynamic-creative fee is built into Place Exchange DCO pricing. No separate Lucit invoice. |
| Broadsign | None (built-in) | Same as Place Exchange — dynamic-creative fee is built in. No separate Lucit invoice. |
| Vistar Media | $0.50 / 1,000 impressions | Lucit bills the dynamic-creative fee directly to you. Vistar bills its own dynamic fee separately ($0.50–$2.00 / 1,000 depending on campaign). |
| Hivestack, VIOOH, and other DDOH SSPs | — | Currently unavailable. Please contact us for integration information. |
Programmatic is supported on the Ad Agency plan and is available to any plan for SSPs that build the fee in (Place Exchange, Broadsign).

Premium data sources¶
Lucit's apps include Premium apps that connect to live data sources (e.g. fuel prices, drive-time calculations, weather, sports). Premium apps may have additional pass-through data fees that are billed separately from your plan.
- Premium apps are clearly indicated with the word "Premium" in the apps list.
- Each Premium app shows its own pricing details on the app's detail page.
- Example: Drive Time = $0.01 per calculation.
See the full list and per-app rates at https://lucit.app/apps.
Enterprise plans¶
Need more than 12 Account Executives, custom user limits, ACH/wire/invoice billing, or DDOH SSP integrations beyond Place Exchange / Broadsign / Vistar?

Enterprise plans are typical for organizations with teams larger than 12 Account Executives, multi-market media owners, or agencies needing custom programmatic integrations.
Billing terms¶
- Cycle: 4-week (28-day) billing cycles — 13 cycles per year.
- Currency: USD only.
- Payment: Credit card on file (auto-charged). ACH / wire / invoice are available on Enterprise plans only.
- When billing starts: Your first live play. There's no charge to set up, build, train, or test.
- If your card fails: Plays may stop functioning for your active campaigns until payment is updated. If payment continues to fail for 28 days or more, all advertiser play creatives may be replaced with a black screen.
- Invoices & payment information: Available in the Billing tab of your Lucit account.
- Contracts: None. Month-to-month, cancel anytime.
- Annual discount: Not available.
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime in-app — notify us that you wish to cancel and remove your active Lucit campaigns, and billing stops at the end of the current cycle. If you have any active campaigns running that are recording plays in Lucit, your cancellation will not process until those campaigns are removed.
- Switching plans: Account ↔ Media Owner / Agency plans are not interchangeable — please contact us if you need to migrate.
FAQ¶
What is a 'play'?
A play is a single appearance of a Lucit creative on a screen. Each time your dynamic creative is rendered on a billboard, in-store screen, or other DOOH inventory, it counts as one play. See the Definitions page for full terminology.
What's the difference between a play and an impression?
A play is one render of your creative on a screen. An impression is an estimate of how many people saw that play (based on traffic / audience measurement data from the operator or SSP). Lucit's managed plans bill per play. Programmatic plans bill per impression (because that's how SSPs price inventory).
Are there contracts?
No. All plans are month-to-month with no contract.
When does billing start?
On your first live play. There's no charge to sign up, build campaigns, train your team, or test. Once a creative actually appears on a screen, your billing cycle begins.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime in-app — notify us that you wish to cancel and remove your active Lucit campaigns. Billing stops at the end of the current cycle. If you have any active campaigns running that are recording plays in Lucit, your cancellation will not process until those campaigns are removed.
Do unused plays roll over to the next cycle?
No. Each 4-week cycle starts fresh.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card on file for all standard plans. Enterprise plans can be billed via ACH, wire, or invoice. Invoices and payment information are available in the Billing tab of your account.
What happens if my card fails?
Plays may stop functioning for your active campaigns until the payment method is updated. If payment continues to fail for 28 days or more, all advertiser play creatives may be replaced with a black screen.
Can I switch between Advertiser and Media Owner / Agency plans?
No — these are different account types. If you need to migrate, contact us and we'll help.
Is there a free trial?
There is no time-limited free trial, but you only pay once your first creative actually plays.
Are taxes included?
Prices shown are USD only. Applicable taxes (where required) may be added at billing.
Do you support customers outside the US / Canada?
All billing is in USD. Programmatic and managed campaigns are available wherever Lucit-enabled inventory and SSPs operate.
Lightning device pricing¶
Lightning is Lucit's digital signage device — a small player we ship to you that installs at each screen you want to run. Lightning is designed for internal digital signage only and connects to TVs and other devices that support an HDMI port (it is not for billboards or external DOOH inventory).
Lightning is a standalone product for companies that wish to use Lucit to manage multiple digital signage devices at their locations, and includes unlimited plays on any Lightning screen. A Lightning subscription can stand alone or be combined with any play-based plan on the same account.
Minimum: $500 / 4-week cycle — covers up to 20 devices online.
Recurring (per 4-week cycle)¶
| Devices online (≥ 8 hours total during the 28-day cycle) | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 – 20 devices | $500 minimum |
| 21 – 100 devices | $24 / device |
| 101 – 1,000 devices | $23 / device |
| 1,000+ devices | Contact us for volume pricing |
| Optional cellular modem (per device) | +$15 / device / cycle (billed regardless of online status) |
One-time setup¶
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Setup per device | $150 / device |
| Setup per device with cellular modem | $350 / device |
Note: "Online" means the device was reachable for at least 8 hours total during the 28-day billing cycle — not 8 hours per day.
